Burnaby, British Columbia (November 13, 2014): Hippie Foods, the makers of Hippie Snacks Coconut Chips and Hippie Cookies, is proud to unveil a brand new snack to their line-up of whole food products: Hippie Garden Chips. Organic, gluten-free, Non-GMO Project Verified, vegan and raw, the chips are available in three savoury blends: Roots Medley, Crunchy Coleslaw and Snacking Stir Fry.
Hippie Garden Chips are crafted from slices of organic vegetables, using local produce wherever possible, including kale, sweet potatoes, zucchini, red beets, cabbage, carrots and onions, which are gently crisped through a unique nutrient-preserving dehydration process. The flavour blends are then hand-mixed with a savoury dressing made from organic nuts (no peanuts) and seeds.
Each serving of Garden Chips is packed with 4 to 6 grams of protein and 3 to 4 grams of fiber and is a healthy alternative to greasy snacks loaded with empty calories. While the three flavours will appeal to a wide variety of tastes, the feel-good treat will also satisfy snackers with special dietary requirements, including gluten-free and vegan diets.
