Farmer Direct Co-op: Organic, Fair, Sustainable Food

Posted on 09/20/2016 by Left Coast

When you dig into that bulk tub of organic lentils at the grocery store, do you wonder where they came from or who grew them?

We’ve been proud partners of Farmer Direct Co-op since 2013, supporting Canadian farmers from Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.

Why do we love them? They are farmer owned, fair deal, and organic.

Knowing that the growers are also owners, we have peace of mind that the utmost care was taken to grow the food and conserve the land. By choosing Farmer Direct you participate in the progress towards a more transparent, fair and sustainable food system.

Meet the 60+ families that grow some of the organic oats, lentils, peas, beans and seeds in your pantry! Read their stories, try their recipes, and connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
